SHOWTUNED
SHOWTUNED is a weekly podcast about musicals and the craft of storytelling through song, hosted by @BrettBoles (The M Tea) and Josh Shelton (Counterpoint Musicals).
Launched in Spring 2026, we are building community, featuring guests, and sharing deep dives into the layers of ways songs tell stories - from melodies to harmonies, lyrics to dialogue, characters to scenes - and how it all comes together in this unique medium where songs are the engine of the story.
WHERE WERE YOU
Inspired by the true love story of creators @LeahAndPhillip, WHERE WERE YOU, is an intimate micro-budget musical about pursuing creativity and connection while overcoming heartbreak and broken homes.
After an Award-Winning festival run, Counterpoint Musicals is partnering with the filmmakers to bring the film to audiences everywhere.
TEMPO RUBATO
A musical, sci-fi love story, TEMPO RUBATO, places us inside a married couple’s attempt to use time-travel to save their relationship.
A musical feature film, designed for indie-film production with minimal locations, 3 characters, and a high concept —no dance numbers, no glitter—this story lives in the music, pulling us into the honest emotion of the characters.

SPACE DOGS
Reimagined for the screen from the hit off-Broadway stage show, SPACE DOGS, is an inventive mixed-media movie musical about the Soviet Union space program that sent dogs into space, invented satellites, and helped prevent nuclear war.
Partnering with top creators in animation, puppets and live-action to design a kaleidoscopic visual identity and build a creative community.

THE DO-OVER
Based on the book by New York Times #1 Bessting Author, Lynn Painter, THE DO-OVER is a high school rom-com set in a time-loop on Valentines Day, where two teenagers don’t learn to love, they learn to not give a fuck.
